This past June, Curtis Lumber hosted its eighth annual pet adoption event, Pet-A-Palooza. Pet-A-Palooza is a celebration of pets of all kinds; dogs, cats, birds, those with homes and without. Each year this event gets bigger and bigger, with this year being the largest yet! IMAD has been a vendor for the past three years and I have loved watching the event change and grow. It is really special watching shelter pets be unloaded in the morning and seeing none get loaded back up because they have ALL been adopted!
I participated in Ballston Spa, New York, but there are several locations including East Greenbush, Hoosick, Plattsburgh, Norwich, and Burlington, Vermont. This event attracts many local animal shelters, micro chippers, and animal rescues. With the growing popularity, food vendors for people, food vendors for pets, face painting, pet sitters, dog fence companies, and so many more are becoming vendors! Steve Caporizzo is a huge supporter of the event and was there checking out each animal present. The more momentum this event gains, the greater number of pets are going to be adopted. As a vendor, it is so important to put the event on blast in your community.
